Home Visits

Doctor's bag

Home visits can be arranged for housebound patients or patients who are genuinely too ill to attend.

Do not call out the doctors for minor ailments. If you are too ill to visit the surgery and require a home visit please ring the surgery before 11.00am.

It would be helpful if you could give the receptionists clear details of what is wrong, so enabling the doctor to assess which calls are most urgent.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
